Morphological, thermal and mechanical properties of polypropylene foams via rotational molding

In this work, polypropylene (PP) was foamed via rotational molding using a chemical blowing agent (CBA) based on azodicarbonamide over range of concentration (0 to 0.5% wt.). The samples were then analyzed in terms morphological, thermal and mechanical properties. morphological analysis showed continuous increase the average cell size density with increasing CBA content. Increasing content also led lower foam conductivity. Similarly, all properties (tension, flexion impact) found decrease Finally, efficiency rotomolding process assessed by producing neat PP compression molding. results negligible differences between rotomolded molded at low deformation rate indicating that optimal conditions selected.
